Testing

If living
   was the only thing
      worth living for
         what hesitations
            could we take back
               from bins of wasted time?
If it was about sensation
   instead of profit,
      and there were no
         second guesses.
If it was a race to fulfillment,
   instead of a quest
      for eternal life,
         and you spent all day
            bouncing your ideas
               off water vapor walls.
If you never had to worry...

I would like to take trips
   and dream often,
      to unlock my mind,
         and to lust openly.
I would like to love free
   and never suffer a consequence,
      to choose infrequently,
         and be collected and calm.

Is it so impossible?
Would bonds break and roles reverse?
Would structure collapse?
Would time speed on and on and
              stop.
       
         Deep breath.
         Begin again.
